Today’s weather: hot, dry in most areas; chance of rain in the north

WEB DESK: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that the weather in most parts of the country will remain hot and dry. However, in Gilgit-Baltistan, the Pothohar region, Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the sky is expected to be partly cloudy, with a few places likely to experience rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms.
Going region by region, the PDM predict that the weather in Islamabad and its surrounding areas will remain hot and dry.
In most districts of Punjab, the weather is expected to remain hot and dry. However, in the morning, a few places in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Layyah, Noorpur Thal, and Dera Ghazi Khan might experience rain with strong winds and thunderstorms.

Moving toward Sindh, the weather is expected to remain hot and dry.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the weather will remain hot and dry. However, rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Peshawar, Malakand, Lakki Marwat, Kurram, Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan.
In Balochistan, the weather will remain hot and dry. However, in the morning, the northern districts may experience partly cloudy skies.
In Kashmir, the sky is expected to be partly cloudy, with the possibility of rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms. Likewise, in Gilgit-Baltistan, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy, with rain and thunderstorms along with strong winds at some places.
