ISLAMABAD: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that Pakistan will not accept any external pressure and assured the nation that the country is 200 per cent ready to respond to Indian aggression.
He said that in any retaliatory action, Pakistan will not target Indian civilians but will strike only military installations.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Khawaja Asif said there is a flood of lies in the Indian media. He claimed India suffered humiliation and now has to pacify its own people. “India won’t tell its public that they are being defeated everywhere,” he remarked.
“Alliance between Israel and India is natural – both are anti-Islam”
He further stated that the alliance between Israel and India is natural, as both are against Islam. “Their enmity towards Islam is no secret,” he added.

The Defense Minister said that friendly nations are standing openly with Pakistan. Turkey and Azerbaijan have clearly expressed their support, while even India’s closest allies are not siding with it. He mentioned that the Pakistan Army is vigorously confronting the enemy along the Line of Control (LoC) and borders.
He added that a strong military response is ongoing. Pakistan is currently in contact with all key global nations, maintaining daily communication with Gulf countries. The Deputy Prime Minister is in regular contact with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and China.
He emphasized the need to further accelerate and make diplomatic efforts more effective. “So far, one or two countries have offered mild support, but our friends are standing clearly and firmly with Pakistan.”
Khawaja Asif reiterated that Israel standing with India is natural, as both nations harbor animosity toward Islam.
“Drone attacks were aimed at identifying our locations”
He said that religious seminaries (madaris) and their students represent Pakistan’s secondary line of defense. He explained that the drone attacks launched since yesterday were intended to identify key locations. The drones weren’t intercepted initially to avoid revealing our positions, but when they came within range, they were shot down.
The Defense Minister added that retaliatory operations are still ongoing day and night, and the armed forces are currently in a strong position. He praised the military’s bravery in defending the country.
Khawaja Asif emphasized again that Pakistan will not accept any kind of foreign pressure in defending its homeland. “The nation should remain calm. We are 200% ready to defend ourselves. Pakistan will respond at a time of its choosing. However, Indian civilians will not be targeted—only military installations are our aim.”
“White flags aren’t waved for nothing”
Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said that the Pakistan Army has been authorized to respond as it sees fit. “Our soldiers have avenged the martyrdom of innocent civilians by decisively hitting their military. White flags aren’t waved without cause—they have carried away the bodies of their soldiers.”
He said, “Modi’s arrogance has been shattered. After the Pahalgam incident, Pakistan presented its case before the international community, explaining that we are victims of terrorism and that terrorism does not originate from us.”
The law minister said that Pakistan offered to conduct an independent investigation, which was appreciated by the UN Secretary-General. “The world has acknowledged our position in this matter.”
He concluded by saying, “If the Butcher of Gujarat claims that terrorism is being conducted from across the border, it is the biggest lie. India, God willing, will be broken into pieces – and it will be at the hands of Modi himself.”
