Peaceful Karachi an ideal destination for foreign investment: Tessori

KARACHI: Talking to a group of recently promoted Deputy Superintendent Police (DSPs), Governor Sindh, Kamran Tesoori has said that peace in Karachi was key to lure international investors and businesses.

He added that maintenance of law and order in the city was a collective responsibility of the city-dwellers and urgeded citizens to extend cooperation to police.

He felicitated DSPs on their promotion and lauded their role in maintenance of law and order in the metropolitan. “Unfortunately, the public has developed a negative impression of police which means the force will have to take extra ordinary measures to improve its reputation,” he added.

“Maintaining law and order was not possible without trust of the public therefore the promoted officers would need to rely on service delivery for results,” according to the governor.
