Latif’s remarks come amid mounting pressure and controversy surrounding the political party and its founder.

Latif alleged that the PTI founder admitted to employing petrol bombs, a serious charge. He also claimed that the founder received more favourable conditions in detention compared to other high-profile detainees.

The PML-N leader accused PTI of misappropriating taxpayer funds for rallies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The allegation adds to the broader discourse on financial transparency and accountability within political organisations.

The National Assembly member said that while political parties had a legitimate right to protest but warned that violent protests could lead to “severe consequences”, including economic decline and potential state instability.

In a related development, Latif noted the frequent travels of Nawaz Sharif to London and Saudi Arabia, describing this pattern as significant and warranting attention.

Latif also touched upon the challenges of maintaining unity within political alliances, noting that divergent agendas among allies can lead to internal friction. He said that unity was important for addressing and resolving internal complaints.

Meanwhile, Qamar Zaman Kaira expressed uncertainty regarding the details of a meeting between PTI’s founder and Azam Swati, indicating a lack of clarity on this issue.

Kaira also defended Rana Sanaullah, stating that his statements hold weight due to his governmental role. Kaira also said that differences among political figures should be managed respectfully and without resorting to abusive language.
