PTI leaders arrested outside Adiala jail

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Omar Ayub, Asad Qaisar, Shibli Faraz and Sahibzada Hamid Raza were taken into custody outside Adiala jail.

The leader of opposition Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Bhachar and Alia Hamza were also detained.

PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram said that the party leaders had gone to meet the incarcerated PTI founder and former premier Imran Khan.

“Party leaders were not allowed to meet the founder of PTI,” Akram said, adding that when they were coming back and sat in their vehicles, they were taken into custody.

Earlier today, there was a hearing scheduled at the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for bail plea of Imran Khan, but the hearing could not be held due to the non-availability of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) ​​Special Prosecutor.

IHC Justice Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb adjourned the hearing till November 20.
