Metrix Pakistan, Directorate of Youth Affairs organise youth summit in Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD: With the collaboration of the Directorate of Youth Affairs, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Metrix Pakistan organised the province’s largest youth summit at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Abbottabad.

Held on 4 July 2024, the third edition of the Metrix Pakistan Youth Summit was a resounding success. The one-day event attracted over 3,500 participants from diverse backgrounds, aiming to empower youth and enhance their skills in technology and IT, which are crucial in today’s world.

The summit featured insightful sessions led by leaders from various sectors, inspiring young minds to excel in the modern world. The event also offered exciting networking opportunities and hands-on experiences with tech.

Mr. Talal Saleem, District Youth Officer Abbottabad, inaugurated the summit, emphasising the crucial role of technology in today’s world and providing insights into its importance. He stressed the need to empower the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and develop their potential, praising Metrix Pakistan’s efforts in supporting these initiatives.

The summit included a line-up of notable speakers, such as Emad Ali, Founder and CEO of Ranking Guru; Qaiser Khan Tanoli from Diligence Systems; Ubaid Businesswala, CEO of Giga Developers, among others.

The event featured over 30 exhibitors, food stalls, and an Idea Pad competition, making it the largest youth summit in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by attendance. The summit provided a platform for youth to network, learn, and showcase their talents. Exhibitors displayed innovative projects and products, ranging from technology and entrepreneurship to art and design.

In the Idea Pad competition, young innovators presented their ideas to a panel of judges, with winners receiving prizes and recognition. The event also included interactive sessions, workshops, and panel discussions on various topics such as technology, entrepreneurship, and personal development.

Hassan Nisar, Founder and CEO of Metrix Pakistan, highlighted the organisation’s commitment to developing the ecosystem in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including projects on climate change, women’s empowerment, and innovation.

“We are thrilled with the overwhelming response from the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Our goal is to provide a platform for young people to explore their potential and contribute to the province’s development,” said Hassan Nisar.

The summit concluded with a renewed commitment to continue supporting and empowering the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Metrix Pakistan and the Directorate of Youth Affairs reiterated their dedication to developing the province’s ecosystem.
