Those attempting to access the app or WhatsApp Web, the browser version, were greeted with an error message indicating that the service was temporarily unavailable.

Downdetector, a well-known website that monitors internet outages, reported a significant increase in users encountering problems while trying to use WhatsApp.

WhatsApp users shared their experiences on social media regarding the service being affected, making “WhatsApp Down” a top trending topic.
