FTO sets up help desk for taxpayers

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO), in collaboration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), has established a help desk at the FTO headquarters to facilitate taxpayers facing issues with filing their tax returns.

The initiative aims to simplify the tax return process as the deadline for filing has been extended to October 14. The desk will assist taxpayers in resolving common issues, such as retrieving passwords from the FBR website and other filing-related difficulties.

Trained FBR personnel will be available at the desk to provide support to tax filers.

According to the FTO office, queries will only be addressed in person at the FTO Secretariat in Islamabad, with no assistance available over phone calls. The FTO encourages all taxpayers to visit the help desk for assistance in filing their returns.

The FTO office remains committed to resolving tax-related issues and facilitating taxpayers throughout the process.
