US election: Ballot papers turmoil

WASHINGTON: The upcoming general election in the United States (US) has been facing one setback after another, with the latest one causing he election authorities to raise alarm.
According to the officials, there’s a huge delay in the distribution of ballot papers and other critical material for the upcoming presidential election.

The election is set to take place on November 6 this year across the US. In the North American country, citizens have to register where they can vote.
Regarding the ballot papers distribution, officials from the US Postal Services stated they were facing issues in ensuring timely and efficient delivery. This led to concerns about the delayed electoral process.

Despite numerous discussions aimed at resolving the issues, representatives from the US Postal Service has not been able to reassure election officials. Current reports indicate that they delivery of government mail is taking long as five days. The officials, in turn, stated they considered this unacceptable.
The authorities also highlighted that several movement payments were reportedly going missing, exacerbating the situation.

If the deliverers issues continued, US election officials cautioned that the electoral process’s integrity and effectiveness may be questioned.
