LONDON: Arsenal have moved six points clear at the top of the Premier League after a commanding Arsenal VS Fulham victory, keeping pressure on Manchester City, who still have two games in hand.
Arsenal delivered a dominant display at the Emirates, with Bukayo Saka and Viktor Gyökeres at the heart of a first-half blitz that put Fulham to the sword. Saka and Gyökeres combined brilliantly, each setting up the other before Gyökeres added a third with a powerful header just before half-time.
The win extends Arsenal’s lead over Manchester City to six points, though City’s games in hand mean the title race remains open. Still, the atmosphere inside the Emirates reflected growing belief among the home fans after a week of doubt.
While City’s mathematical advantage remains, Arsenal’s performance sent a clear message, with Saka’s creativity and Gyökeres’ finishing proving decisive in a one-sided contest.
Viktor Gyökeres said after the match, “We controlled the game very well. It was a very good performance and an important three points.”
He added, “We never stopped believing, and we’re not going to. We’ll focus on the next game now. We’re on a good path but we have to stay there.”
Manager Mikel Arteta was visibly animated at full-time, embracing Myles Lewis-Skelly, impressive in midfield, before celebrating enthusiastically with the home crowd, reflecting a strong day for Arsenal in the title race.
