Education for all is an Islamic mandate, says Allama Tahir Ashrafi

ISLAMABAD: Renowned Islamic scholar Allama Tahir Ashrafi has underscored the importance of education for both men and women. He emphasised that Islam advocates the pursuit of knowledge for all.
Speaking at the national Seerat Un Nabi (SAW) Conference in Islamabad, on the occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, Allama Ashrafi stressed that educating daughters is crucial, as they play a vital role in shaping the future of society.

Highlighting the need for a unified education system, Allama Ashrafi called for reforms to ensure that education and moral training go hand in hand. He stated that a balanced combination of both is essential for the development of individuals and the progress of the nation.
“Islam orders the education of men and women alike,” he said, reiterating the religious obligation to equip all members of society with knowledge and proper upbringing.
