According to sources, among the Secretariat’s total of 1,700 posts, 200 positions were removed. This comes in response to findings of numerous illegal recruitments and promotions conducted in recent years.
In particular, three grade 22 positions were among those annulled, leaving only ten grade 21 posts intact within the Secretariat.
Amidst these developments, a grade 22 secretary resigned from their position in light of the investigation into alleged misconduct. An additional secretary was also issued a show-cause notice regarding their involvement.
