ISLAMABAD: In a recent press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan has vehemently condemned the unprovoked violation of its airspace by Iran, resulting in the tragic deaths of two innocent children and the injuries of three girls.
Iran attacks Balochistan in a blatant disregard for Pakistan’s sovereignty. It is deemed entirely unacceptable and carries potential serious consequences.
The gravity of this illegal act is heightened by the fact that it occurred despite the presence of multiple communication channels between Pakistan and Iran.
Pakistan has officially lodged a strong protest with the relevant senior official at the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran.
Additionally, the Iranian Charge d’affaires has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to receive our unequivocal condemnation of this violation, emphasising that the responsibility for the consequences rests squarely with Iran.
Pakistan has consistently emphasised that terrorism poses a common threat to all countries in the region, necessitating coordinated action.
Acts of unilateral aggression, such as this incident where Iran attacks Pakistan, are incompatible with fostering good neighbourly relations and have the potential to severely undermine bilateral trust and confidence.
