LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has registered cases against PTI leader and YouTuber Dr. Shahbaz Gill, and YouTuber Moeed Pirzada for allegedly engaging in anti-state activities and spreading false propaganda against state institutions on social media.

The two individuals, both residing abroad, have been charged under the PECA-2016 Cyber Crime Act, based on a complaint filed by Sub-Inspector Muneeb Zafar, according to a report published by The Express Tribune.

The FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing is investigating their social media activities to determine the involvement of other accomplices.

According to the FIRs, Shahbaz Gill and Moeed Pirzada shared threatening videos and content on TikTok, spreading false and misleading information to incite hostility against state institutions and officials.

Their actions are alleged to have the potential to provoke others into committing crimes against the state or disturbing public peace.

The FIRs further state that the shared material sought to promote an anti-state narrative, creating a false and predetermined impression about Pakistan’s institutions.

The actions of the accused have been described as attempts to harm the state, incite rebellion, and foster discord among its pillars.

The FIA cyber-crime wing is investigating the matter and according to sources, when the investigations are completed, Interpol will be contacted for their arrest.
