Will SIC get the reserved seats or not; SC’s verdict expected today

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court reserved the verdict on the hearing of Sunni Ittehad Council’s (SIC) reserved seats on Tuesday.

There are expectations that the apex court will announce the reserved verdict today.

Yesterday (Wednesday), Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa had called an urgent meeting of the full court bench to deliberate on the matter. All 13 members of the full bench of the Supreme Court participated in the meeting that lasted for one and a half hours.

The full court bench has heard the arguments of the counsels of SIC, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), as well as Attorney General of Pakistan and other parties concerned.
