Islooites: now you will have to pay more for traffic violations

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have increased fines over traffic violations effective from September 26.
According to a spokesperson for the ICT police, the interior ministry has issued a notification endorsing the jack-up in fines.
Here is the updated list of Islamabad traffic violation fines:
The minimum fine for traffic rule violations will be Rs500.

The Islamabad Police spokesman said that the increase in fines is necessary to deter drivers from violating traffic rules and causing accidents. He also urged citizens to respect traffic rules and avoid heavy fines.
The police are also launching a campaign to enforce traffic rules in the city.

Earlier this month, The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) increased traffic fines by 200 per cent. The NHMP also added seven new rules to the traffic regulations.
