JUI-F Senator raises election concerns in Senate

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) member Kamran Murtaza raised several questions regarding the credibility of the general election held on February 8 in the Senate on Monday.
The Senator raised significant questions regarding the recent general elections, submitting a notice to the Senate Secretariat with four key questions.
The senator’s inquiries include how the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), caretaker government and other relevant institutions organised the elections and whether the election results aligned with public expectations. He also questioned how many political parties accepted the announced results, and the current post-election situation in the country.

Demanding a discussion on this matter in the Senate, Kamran Murtaza asked for clarity on the electoral process and its outcomes.
BNP-M holds telephonic conversation with Maulana Fazl
Meanwhile, sources reveal that a telephonic conversation took place between Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) chief Akhtar Mengal and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
As per sources, they discussed the recent election and the resulting political landscape. Both expressed concerns over the elections and their results, agreeing to consult on political matters and convene in the near future.
